Workflows explained

What workflows are, who they apply to, and how to switch one on.

Updated 23 September 2026

Workflows do the sending in Leadey. Each one has a trigger that starts leads, and a chain of steps they move through.

  1. 1
    Create one
Go to Workflows and click New workflow.
  2. 2
    Choose who it applies to
Under Who this applies to, pick the whole workspace or chosen campaigns, optionally narrowed by Smart Views.
  3. 3
    Set a trigger
Choose what starts leads, for example Lead enters a campaign. With no trigger, leads only enter when you start them yourself.
  4. 4
    Add steps
Build the sequence from blocks, then click Save changes.
  5. 5
    Switch it on
New workflows start as Draft. Set it to Active to arm the trigger. Pause it any time.

Stopping when people respond

By default a lead leaves the workflow when they reply (email, SMS or LinkedIn) or book a meeting. Turn on Allow leads to re-enter this workflow if you want people to go through it more than once.
