Import leads from a CSV
Upload a spreadsheet into a campaign, map its columns and import without duplicates.
Updated 23 September 2026
CSV imports happen inside a campaign, so the leads land where you’ll work them.
- 1Open the campaignGo to Campaigns and open the campaign you want to fill.
- 2Choose CSV importClick Add Leads, then CSV import.
- 3Upload your fileDrag in a .csv file or click to browse. Files can have up to 100,000 rows. Split bigger files.
- 4Map your columnsLeadey matches columns to fields by their headers. Check each one under Maps to, pick Skip column for anything you don’t need, or choose + Create custom field… to keep extra data.
- 5Review and importName the import, choose how leads are grouped into companies (Company Domain is recommended), check the counts, then click Import.
What your file needs
Only a Company Name column is required.
Contact columns (name, email, phone, LinkedIn) are optional. With none mapped, each row imports as a company.
You can map several columns to Phone or Email. The first filled-in one becomes the main one, and the rest are kept as extras.
Tip. Only have email addresses? Tick Magic enrich company data from email domain, and Leadey fills in the company for each one. It costs 3 credits per company found.
Duplicates
Leadey checks every row against the leads already in your workspace, by email, phone, LinkedIn URL or name and company. Someone who already exists isn’t created twice. They’re added to this campaign instead. Rows repeated within the file are skipped, and the review step shows how many.
Note. Your plan sets how many leads your workspace can hold: 10,000 on Starter, 50,000 on Growth and unlimited on Scale.
