How to ramp a new SDR on the phones in two days

A day-by-day plan for getting new reps confident on live calls, using a ranked queue, a short script and call recordings.

Day one: listen, then dial

Spend the morning on five great recorded calls from your best rep, then five that went badly. New reps learn more from the contrast than from any training deck.

In the afternoon, give them a queue of 30 warm leads who replied or opened recently, so their first conversations are with people who already know the name.

A script that fits on one screen

Keep it to an opening line tied to a signal, three questions and two objection handlers. Anything longer gets read out loud.

1Open with the reason you’re calling.
2Ask about the problem the signal usually creates.
3Offer one small, specific next step.

Day two: review every call

At the end of each block, review two recordings with the rep. Focus on one habit at a time. By the end of day two, most reps are running their own queue.
